A couple of people suggested that I write a novel, so this is the result, though it's more of a novella, or a prototype for a niche video series. I prefer writing short stories, so this is actually a series of them linked by a common theme, like Mary Wilkins Freeman's small-town profile collections. "Unalike - Tales From An Other Earth" is influenced partly by Levin's "This Perfect Day", Le Guin's "The Dispossessed", and Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale". I don't pretend to be in their collective class of science fiction writers and I freely admit that portions of this book have creaky narrative. It is more speculative than science fiction -- a utopia for some, a nightmare for others.

Powerful Science Fiction
This is a great imagining of a world where the aspects and attitudes of society towards family, gender roles, technology, violence and love have been sort of re-balanced or reset. It is uplifting and insightful, as well as chilling at times- like powerful science fiction should be.
